I have been blessed to be married for 25 years to my best friend. Ted and I have been best friends since we were 16 years old. We married at 22 and spent the 1990s having 5 amazing children; 2 girls and 3 boys. It has been a joy and privilege to be able to home school each one of them. Our daughters have now graduated college, we have 2 sons in college and one son with one year of homeschooling left. Our kids are avid sports competitors: Cross Country, Track, Tennis, Football, Basketball and a brief stint with Wrestling. Ted and I have been active coaching, training, driving, cheering, filming, encouraging, exhorting….
We have lived in four different states and seven different homes during our marriage so far. We also have had the opportunity to rehab houses, own a construction business, and own and operate a restaurant. Our family has experienced health and sickness, strength and injury, healing, restoration, hard work and perseverance in trials. God has walked with us the whole way; He is so faithful in every situation.
Just as Paul did, we (are learning) in whatever situation to be content. (We) know how to be brought low and how to abound. In every circumstance (we are learning) the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. (We find) we can do all things through Him who strengthens (us). (Phil 4:11-13)
God has always and continues to supply our needs according to His riches and glory! He is so faithful!
If you are interested in reading more parenting and homeschooling material, check out my website: A Homeschooler’s Tale www.ahomeschoolerstale.com I would love your thoughts on what is going on over there. Once there you will notice that I am in the process of publishing some of the Unit Studies I assembled during our homeschooling years. Updated using the rich resources of the internet (I used to spend hours searching libraries and used bookstores for what is now available at the touch of a button!) and available as an instant ebook (no more waiting weeks for curriculum to arrive!) Proverbs & Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle is the first of many to come. You can read the summary of this two week companion book to Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle.
Thanks for meeting me here at Coming to Him!
Blessings,
Kathleen
